The Hang Seng gained 193 points at 19,715. The Nikkei, however, declined 50 points to 10,231.
The Shanghai Composite has advanced 109 points to 2,824.
The Straits Times and the Taiwan Weighted added 12 points and 65 points to 2,582 and 7,104, respectively.
The Seoul Composite, on the other hand, is marginally down at 1,612.

The Asian markets have opened on a positive note today morning.
The Hang Seng has advanced 161 points to 19,683.
The Nikkei on the other hand has dropped 42 points to 10,239.
The Shanghai Composite has soared 71 points (2.6%) to 2,786 and the Taiwan Weighted Index has added 85 points (1%) to 7,125.
The Straits Times is up 25 points at 2,595 and the Seoul Composite is flat at 1,617.
