Asian markets open higher

Encouraged by the US markets overnight, the Asian markets started trading in the positive.

Hang Seng is quoting at 23,484, stronger by 234 points or 1% and the Nikkei has opened at 10,166, higher by 178 points or 2%.

Seoul Composite is quoting at 1,944, up by 15 points or 0.7%, Taiwan Weighted is at 8,590, higher by 70 points or 0.8% and Straits
Times is at 3,199, up 17 points or 0.5%.

Shanghai Composite is at 2,856, gaining 33 points or 1.1%.
