Base metal prices rallied at the non-ferrous metal market here today on persistent buying by stockists amidst good demand from industrial users, sparked by a firm trend in global markets.
Tin prices shot up by Rs 35 per kilo to Rs 1,405 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,370 and nickel firmed up by Rs 10 per kilo to Rs 1,230 from Rs 1,220 previously.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap hardened by Rs 9 per kilo each to Rs 457, Rs 485 and Rs 306 respectively as against Rs 448, Rs 476 and Rs 297 previously.
Copper scrap heavy and copper utensils scrap both strengthened by Rs 8 per kilo to Rs 449 and Rs 406.
Brass sheet cutting rose by Rs 6 per kilo to Rs 315.
Copper armiture and copper sheet cutting both moved up by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 440 and Rs 432. Aluminium utensils scrap and zinc looked up by Rs 3 per kilo each to Rs 105 and Rs 134.
Aluminium ingots and lead also ended higher by Rs 2 per kilo each to Rs 129 and Rs 115 respectively.
