Zinc futures for January fell by 25 paise, or 0.23%, to Rs 110.45 per kg in 915 lots.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the February contract traded lower by 20 paise, or 0.22%, to Rs 111.30 per kg in 161 lots.
Timming of positions by speculators affected the trade.
Sluggish domestic demand too had negative impact on zinc prices.
Weakening trend in base metals overseas weighed on the zinc futures trade here.
