The stock finally settled at Rs 468, up 1% from the previous close. The counter clocked volumes of 436,827 shares as compared to the two-week daily averge traded volumes of 109,992 shares on the BSE.

Bharat Petroleum is moving steady on a bad day.
The stock opened at Rs 469 and zoomed to a high of Rs 478. The scrip then slipped into the negtive terrain to touch a low of Rs 453. The stock has rebounded and is now trading flat at Rs 465, despite 300 points plunge on the Sensex.
The company has posted net profit of Rs 614 crore for the June quarter as against the net loss of Rs 1,067 crore in the previous quarter, a year ago.
The total income has however decreased to Rs 26,196 crore in the June quarter as against Rs 39,297 crore in the previous quarter, a year ago.
