Brokers all over the country will restrain from trading on 23 July, Monday, to highlight the problems faced by them in the new age trading system devoid of old badla carry forward system. All the exchanges will hold gate meetings on this day.
The decision was taken today at the joint meeting of brokers registered across 16 exchanges of the country. It was also decided to form a national association or representative body of brokers in line with the US-based Securities Dealers Association.
Mohankumar Vijan, president of BSE Brokers Forum said that they have persuaded the Ahmedabad and Kanpur Stock Exchange to withdraw their indefinite strike as the newly formed national association will now take care of the issues facing the brokers. The association will have representation of brokers across 16 active exchanges of the country.
