Chana prices rose by Rs 30 to Rs 3,133 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions, driven by a rise in spot demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, chana for delivery in January rose by Rs 30, or 0.97%, to Rs 3,133 per quintal, with an open interest of 16,710 lots.

Likewise, the commodity for delivery in February gained Rs 23, or 0.72%, to Rs 3,214 per quintal, with an open interest of 94,760 lots.
