Coir Board's move to raise product sales

The board had previously planned to open more retail shops across the country to target Rs 100-crore additional sales from the domestic market

The Coir Board chairman G Balachandran today said, the board would appoint wholesale and retail dealers in all states to strengthen the local market for coir and coir products.

The board had previously planned to open more retail shops across the country to target Rs 100-crore additional sales from the domestic market. The board will also take initiatives to develop mini-tufting machines for small scale manufacturers, said the release.
