Cotton cake prices in the Akola market are Rs 2,592 per quintal. New crop arrivals have commenced in North India and small quantity arrivals have also started in Gujarat and Maharashtra. The yields are expected to be higher than last year's and would result in higher production. Recent rains in Gujarat would be beneficial for the crop. With improved arrivals, prices are expected to decline in the coming days towards Rs 2,550 per quintal.
Soyabean
Soyabean is trading at Rs 3,229 per quintal in Indore. For the week ahead, prices are expected to head towards Rs 3,180 per quintal. Clear weather across the major producing states could accelerate the harvest and increase arrivals at the spot markets. Further sharp rises in production this season might also weigh on market sentiment.
