Commodity picks: 22 August 2016

CARDAMOM

Cardamom prices were trading at Rs 1,044.8 a quintal in Kerala. Prices are expected to trade higher towards Rs 1,080 in the coming week, following expected delay in arrivals and lower production for the season. Lower stocks with upcountry buyers will also support prices.

SUGAR

Sugar prices at Kolhapur were trading at Rs 3,672 a quintal. Prices are expected to trade lower towards Rs 3,625, following the government intervention. However, lower supplies and pick up in festive demand would limit the price fall.
