Crude oil prices moved down by Rs 32 to Rs 4,820 per barrel in futures trade today as speculators reduced their positions taking negative cues from global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in April shed Rs 32, or 0.66%, to Rs 4,820 per barrel, with a business turnover of 17 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in May fell by Rs 32, or 0.65%, to Rs 4,876 per barrel, with an open interest of five lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in crude oil prices to a weakening global trend. New York's main contract, crude for delivery in May fell by 70 cents to $108.96 a barrel.
