Supported by a firming global trend and pick-up in spot demand, crude palm oil prices rose by Rs 4 to Rs 519.90 per 10 kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, December crude palm oil rose by Rs 4, or 0.78%, to Rs 519.90 per 10 kg, with a business turnover of 135 lots.

The November contract gained Rs 3.80, or 0.74%, to Rs 516.20 per 10 kg, with a trade volume of 45 lots.

Market analysts said besides firming trend overseas, increased demand at the domestic spot markets in view of ongoing ongoing marriage season demand also pushed up crude palm oil futures prices.
