Edible Oil Imports Up 26% At 26.5 Lakh Tonne In 7 Months

Imports of edible oil in the last seven months of the oil year (November-October 2000-01) have gone up by 26 per cent to 26.59 lakh tonne as against 22.32 lakh tonne in the same period of the previous year with imports increasing maximum in case of crude palm oil and soyaoil.
