Govt Urged To Restore Concessional Duty On Crude Palm Oil

Vanaspati Manufacturers Association of India (VMAI) has urged the government to restore the concessional rate of duty on crude palm oil (CPO) to minimise the effect of upsurge in imports of vanaspati from Nepal and augment the availability of the oil at competitive prices to tide over the shortage situation arising out of inadequate production of oilseeds for the last couple of years.
