Groundnut oil up on mills buying

Prices of groundnut mill delivery oil rose by Rs 50 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on stockists buying coupled with higher upcountry advices. However, mustard oil lacked necessary buying support and eased.

Traders said, fresh buying by stockists amid higher advices from Gujarat mainly led to a rise in groundnut oil prices. In the edible section, groundnut mill delivery (Gujarat) oil gained Rs 50 to Rs 7,300 per quintal, while groundnut solvent refined gained Rs 20 to Rs 1,200-1,210 per tin.

However, mustard expeller oil (Dadri) lacked necessary buying support and lost Rs 40 to Rs 4,730 per quintal.
