The wholesale gur (jaggery) market today ended on a quiet note as prices moved in a narrow range on alternate small bouts of trading and closed at last levels.   

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur market also closed without any changes in the absence of any worthwhile moving factors.

Market analysts said restricted arrivals and sporadic demand mainly held gur prices on last levels.

Following were today's quotations per quintal:

Chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 3,000-3,100, Dhayya Rs 3,100-3,200, and Shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,300-2,350, chakku Rs 2,475-2,700 and Khurpa Rs 2,450-2,500
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,650-2,750 and Dhaya Rs 2,900-3,000
