HCL Infosystems has soared 7.4% to Rs 41.40 after the company said it has signed a contract with The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on August 7.
"As per the contract the company has been awarded the managed service provider (MSP) to implement and manage the Central ID Repository (CIDR) for UIDAI. The contract is for a period of seven years,” HCL Infosystems said in a filing. The company however, not disclosed the financial details of the contract.
The stock opened at Rs 38.85 and touched high of Rs 43 on the BSE. Around one million shares have already changed hands on the counter so far, against an average around 300,000 shares that were traded daily in past ten trading days.
