Hero Motocorp gains 2% on new bike launch

The largest two-wheeler manufacturer has introduced a refreshed version of its entry level commuter, the HF Dawn

Shares of Hero Motocorp are trading higher by 2% to Rs 2,799 on the BSE after the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer has introduced a refreshed version of its entry level commuter, the HF Dawn.

The entry-level commuter gets few exterior changes and addition features. This bike is quoted at Rs 39,370 (ex-showroom).

The Hero HF Dawn is well equipped with a metal carrier fixed securely just behind the pillion seat, which further enhances the luggage carrying capability. This entry level commuter provides an upright riding position and an extended saddle for comfort. Its console also features a good side-stand engaged indicator. The entry level commuter is available in five shades- Silver, Red, Maroon, black with purple, and black with Red.

Meanwhile, Hero MotoCorp sold over 5.5 lakh units in the first month of the new year (January).

Further, The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) expects passenger vehicle sales to rise three to five per cent in 2014-15, up from its earlier projection of one-two per cent, on improved consumer sentiment over the past few months. With two months to go till the end of 2014-15, sales are up four per cent to 2.12 million vehicles.

The stock opened at the highest price of Rs 2,855 on the BSE. A total of 4,920 shares changed hands on the BSE so far.
