Kalpataru Power gains on Rs 955-cr new orders

The orders include Rs 405 crore from PGCIL for supply and installation of 800 KV HVDC, 238 kms transmission line.

Kalpataru Power Transmission has moved higher by over 3% at Rs 92.60 after the company said it has received new orders worth over Rs 955 crore for supply and installation of transmission lines.

“The orders include Rs 405 crore from PGCIL for supply and installation of 800 KV HVDC, 238 kms transmission line,” Kalpataru Power Transmission said in a statement.

The company received order worth of Rs 260 crore in Uganda, Rs 140 crore in Armenia and Rs 65 crore in Philippines for supply and installation of transmission lines. The company also received Rs 85 crore from ONGC for electrical system revamp project at Hazira.

The stock opened at Rs 90.85 and hit a high of Rs 93.85 after the announcement on the NSE. A combined 578,760 shares have changed hands on the counter so far on both the exchanges.
