The company’s building and factories business has secured orders worth of Rs 1,808 crore for construction of an office space, resident building and a hospital from customers across the country, L&T said in a press release.
The water and renewable engineering business has bagged orders amounting of Rs 628 crore from the Water Resource Department, Jharkhand and from West Bengal Power Development Corporation.
The company’s power transmission and distribution business, orders worth Rs 442 crore have been received from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, while heavy civil infrastructure and metallurgical and material handling business has received new orders worth of Rs 179 crore from various ongoing projects, it added.
The stock opened at Rs 1,407 and touched high of Rs 1,443 on BSE. A combined around 604,706 shares have changed hands on the counter till early noon deals on BSE and NSE.
