| Major gainers were L&T, up 2.22 per cent to $23.50 and volume at 3,000, SBI, up 1.68 per cent to $38.75 and volume at 13,846, and Reliance, up 0.80 per cent to $25.15 with a volume of 6,000. Losers were Bajaj Auto, down 0.57 per cent to $26.15, and Ranbaxy, down 0.29 per cent to $23.15. |
| The ISDI, representing the GDRs and ADRs of 15 actively traded companies, had eased marginally by 0.24 per cent to 1,126.30 on May 13 as against 1,129.00 on May 12. |
| The ISDI price-to-earnings ratio also declined to 17.88 from the previous 17.90. As many as three ISDI ADRs advanced, while five lost ground. Gainers were HDFC Bank, up 1.31 per cent to $41.80, and Satyam Computer, up 1.14 per cent to $22.14, and Infosys, up 0.80 per cent to $60.31. |
| Major losers were MTNL, down 3.19 per cent to $6.06, VSNL, down 2.42 per cent to $9.29, and ICICI Bank, down 0.52 per cent to $19.09. Dr Reddy's too declined to $15.28 from $15.34. |
| Among GDRs, Bajaj Auto dropped to $26.15 from $26.30, Ranbaxy Labs to $23.18 from $23.22, Reliance to $24.93 from $25.00, ITC to $33.85 from $34.00 and SBI to $37.07 from $38.11. |
| Hindalco GDRs improved to $27.68 from $27.60 and L&T to $23.60 from $22.99. |
