Larsen and Toubro (L&T) is trading higher by 3% at Rs 972 in early morning deals on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Shares of engineering major have tuned ex-bonus today.
The company has fixed July 13, 2013 as the record date in order to determine the members entitled to receive the bonus shares.
The board of directors of the company at their meeting held on May 22, had recommended a bonus shares in the ratio of 1:2 (i.e. one bonus equity share of Rs 2/- each for every two fully paid up equity shares of Rs 2/- each held).
The stock opened at Rs 975 and hit a high of Rs 980 so far. A combined 342,991 shares have changed hands on the counter till 0930 hours on BSE and NSE.
