Markets have gained steadily in morning trades to the day's high.
The Sensex, after opening at 20,095 touched a high of 20,311. The index is now up 225 points at 20,294.
Nifty is up 65 points at 6,095.
Global markets are in green this morning. Markets everywhere ended September quarter on a very strong note. Asian stocks rose on Friday as stronger-than expected economic data from China and the United States boosted confidence in the global economic recovery.
BSE realty index is up nearly 3% at 3,831. Anant Raj Industries, Unitech and HDIL are the big gainers in the sector. Orbit Corporation, Indiabulls Real Estate and Sobha Developers are up more than 2% each.
Auto stocks are leading the Sensex rally. Maruti Suzuki has surged 3% to Rs 1,483. Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors have added around 2.5% each to Rs 711 and Rs 1,122, respectively.
BHEL has gained 2.3% at Rs 2542.
DLF, Wipro, Cipla and Larsen & Toubro are up over 1% each. Some of the other gainers are Reliance Infrastructure, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank and HDFC.
BSE market breadth is positive. Out of 2,650 stocks traded, 2,145 have advanced while 464 have declined.
