Markets open firm, RIL up 3%

Sensex is up 183 points at 25,825 and the Nifty is up 48 points at 7,712 levels

The markets have opened on a firm note tracking positive global cues. In addition, positive QI numbers posted by energy major RIL has contributed to the rise. Moreover, the advancement of monsoon rains has boosted the market sentiments.

The Sensex is up 183 points at 25,825 and the Nifty is up 48 points at 7,712 levels

The market breadth is positive with 1000 shares advancing and 194 shares declining.

 Asian stocks were a fraction firmer on Monday as investors set aside geopolitical concerns for the moment to focus on the generally upbeat flow of U.S. corporate earnings ahead of a host of results due this week.
