Markets trading flat, Metals and Realty lead

The Sensex is up 5 points at 20,693 and Nifty is unchanged at 6234.

The broader markets are up marginally. The Mid-cap index is up 0.60% or 50 points at 8487 and the Small-cap index is up 42 points at 10,803. BSE 500 market breadth is positive as 289 stocks are advancing and 205 stocks are declining

United Bank leads the rally among the Mid-caps, the stock is up 8% at Rs 142 followed by Chambal Fertilzers, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers, National Fertilizers  and Hindustan Glass and Induatries up more than 4.7% each.

Among the Small-cap stocks Cosmo Films is the top gainer, trading at Rs 183 up 13% followed by Sujana Mrtal Productas, Gulf Oil Corporation, India Glycols  and NOCIL up more than 6% each.

Meanwhile, Realty index is the top sectoral gainer up 1.53% or 60 points at 3996 followed by Metal index up 1.16% or 204 points at 17,862 points, IT, Tech, Consumer Durables, FMCG and Auto indices up more than 0.2% each.

However, Capital Goods index is the top loser among the sectoral indices down 181 points at 16,245 followed by Power, Bankex, PSU and Oil & Gas indices

Indiabulls Real Estate is the top gainer among the Realty stocks followed by Sobha Developers, HDIL and Unitech.

Tata Steel is the top gainer among the Sensex stocks followed by Wipro, Infosys, J P Associates, and Jindal Steel up more than 0.85% each,

However some profit booking is visible in L&T, NTPC, Reliance Communications, Cipla and ONGC.

The european markets have opened on a flat note CAC is up 2 points at 3830 and FTSE is at 5760 up 13 points.
