Maytas Infra rallies on Rs 790-cr order

The scrip finally ended at its 5% upper circuit at Rs 157. The counter clocked volumes of 25,038 shares on the BSE. ___________________________________________________________

Maytas Infrastructure has surged in opening trades on the back of a Rs 790 crore order.

The stock opened and surged to its 5% upper circuit of Rs 157. Around 8,774 shares have been traded on the BSE already with buy orders of 181,248 shares pending at the counter.

The company has bagged a road project for Pune -Solanpur. The contract from IL&FS Transportation is worth Rs 790 crore. The Pune-Sholapur section of the NH-9 had been awarded to ITNL on a DBFOT (design, build, finance, operate and transfer) basis by National Highways Authority of India. MIL submitted a competitive offer to ITNL last month.
