Mentha oil up on demand

Export enquiries influenced the prices

Mentha oil prices rose by Rs 6.20 to Rs 1,452.60 per kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the February contract edged up by Rs 6.20, or 0.43% to Rs 1,452.60 per kg in business turnover of 43 lots.

Likewise, the January contract traded higher by Rs 4.80, or 0.34% to Rs 1,437.60 per kg in 856 lots.

Market analysts said fresh positions by speculators amid rise in industrial demand alongside some export enquiries influenced mentha oil futures.
