Menthol weakens on fall in demand
Menthol prices fell by Rs 20 per kg in the national capital today owing to reduced offtake by consuming units.
Increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh also put pressure on the prices.
Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 20 each to Rs 1,250, Rs 1,225 and Rs 1,170 per kg, respectively.
Marketmen said reduced offtake by consuming units against increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh markets mainly put pressure on the menthol prices.
