Mustard, soyabean oil rise on fresh buying

Mustard and soyabean oil prices rose upto Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on fresh buying by vanaspati millers, against tight arrivals.

In the non-edible section, linseed oil also showed some strength on fresh enquiries from paint industries.

Marketmen said fresh buying by vanaspati units to meet the upcoming festival demand, against slowdown in arrivals mainly led to a rise in mustard and soya bean oil prices.

In the edible section, mustard expeller oil (Dadri) gained Rs 50 to Rs 5,300 per quintal on local buying.

Mustard pakki and kachi ghani oils traded higher by Rs 5 each to Rs 705-860 and Rs 860-960 per tin.

Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) and soyabean degum (Delhi) also rose by Rs 50 and Rs 20 to Rs 4,800 and Rs 4,570 per quintal.

In the non-edible section, linseed oil gained Rs 50 to Rs 4,100 per quintal on increased offtake from paint industries.
