Nafed Stops Coconut Procurement In Kerala, Ap

Due to paucity of funds, the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (Nafed) has stopped its coconut procurement operations in Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. The organisation which conducted its procurement with money from the State Bank of India and Reserve Bank of India is facing funding problems and needs more funds to start the operations, sources at Nafed said.

Nafed had closed its coconut procurement centres in Andhra Pradesh in February and sometime ago, procurement were stopped in Kerala. However, sources said:
