NHPC gains on pact with KSEB

Stock up nearly 4% at Rs 20.10

NHPC gained nearly 4% to Rs 20.10 after the company announced that an agreement was signed between NHPC and Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) on 08 May 2014 for the development of solar power projects in the state of Kerala.

As per this agreement NHPC shall in the first phase take up implementation of 50 MW grid linked solar power project at West Kallada Panchayat in Kollam District.

The company is expected to declare its Q4 numbers on May 27 and also recommend dividend, if any for the year 2013-2014.

The scrip started its trade at Rs 19.85 and hit a high of Rs 20.35 so far, in today's trade.

The volume on the counter spurted by more than 2.13 times. A total of 8.8 million shares changed hands till 1220 hrs.
