Nifty up 90pts; Tata Steel slips 3%

The NSE Nifty is up 90 points at 3,907.

HDFC Bank has soared 6.5% to Rs 962. TCS and HDFC have zoomed nearly 6% each to Rs 770 and Rs 1,822, respectively.

Maruti has rallied 5.5% to Rs 579. ICICI Bank and Jaiprakash Associates have surged 5% each to Rs 546 and Rs 143, respectively.

DLF, SBI and Satyam have gained around 4% each at Rs 410, Rs 1,183 and Rs 409, respectively.

Also Read

ACC, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra are up around 3.5% each at Rs 533, Rs 2,351, Rs 409 and Rs 510, respectively.

Ranbaxy has plunged nearly 6% to Rs 443. Tata Steel has shed 2.7% at Rs 609.
