Balaji Telefilms and Mukta Arts, which were recently inducted into the Bombay Stock Exchange-200 index, will not get into the rolling settlement mode until January 2002.
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) clarified that scrips which were added to the index after the initial list would not automatically get into the rolling mode.
"We have made it clear that additions made afterwards will have to wait until next year," said an official.

The confusion over whether these two scrips would get into the rolling settlement mode had resulted in their prices going down in the last few days. In fact, there were rumours that these scrips would get into rolling mode from July 9.
A statement from BSE said, "Sebi has informed that scrips which were inducted into the BSE-200 index on or after July 9 would not get into the rolling settlement mode."
