Nucleus Software hits three-month high on good Q4 results

SI Reporter Mumbai Nucleus Software Exports has rallied 12% to Rs 224, its highest level since February on the BSE, after the company's consolidated net profit more than doubled to Rs 14.12 crore for the quarter ended March 2016 (Q4FY16) on a sequential basis, due to lower employee cost. The company had profit of Rs 7.01 crore in December 2015 quarter.
Income from software products and services rose 7% at Rs 93 crore against Rs 86 crore in the preceding quarter. Employees benefit expenses declined by 10.6% to Rs 52 crore from Rs 58 crore in previous quarter.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) margins improved to 20.03% in Q4FY16 against 6.89% in Q3FY16.
At 11:24 am, the stock was up 9% at Rs 218 on the BSE on back of heavy volumes. A combined 763,109 shares changed hands so far against an average sub 100,000 shares that were traded daily in past two weeks on the BSE and NSE.
