Black pepper and jeera prices fell up to Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today owing to weak local and export demand at existing higher prices.

Black pepper fell by Rs 100 to Rs 23,100-23,200 per quintal.

Jeera common and jeera best quality prices also declined to Rs 13,400-13,600 and Rs 15,000-15,500 against previous closing of Rs 13,600-13,800 and Rs 15,100-15,600 per quintal, respectively.

Market analysts said reduced offtake by stockists and exporters at existing higher levels mainly pulled down the pepper and jeera prices.
