Pistachio falls on sluggish demand

Pistachio prices edged lower in the range of Rs 10-15 per kg in the national capital today on the back of sluggish demand from retailers and stockists. Adequate stocks position followed by increased arrivals from overseas markets also put pressure on pistachio prices.

Pistachio (hairati and peshawari) eased up to Rs 15 to settle at Rs 1,260-1,310 and Rs 1,390-1,440 per kg, respectively. Traders said sluggish demand from retailers and stockists against fresh arrivals, pulled down pistachio prices on the wholesale dry fruits market here.
