Polymer prices rose by up to Rs 10 per kg in the local plastic market today on pick-up in demand from consuming industries. Traders said pick-up in demand from consuming industries mainly pushed up polymer prices.
LD No 40 and LD No 400 were up by Rs 10 each to Rs 100 and Rs 100.50, respectively, while LLDP blowing gained Rs 6 to Rs 86 per kg.
High density polymer (Deshi) traded higher by Rs 4 to Rs 85 per kg.
Traders said despite pick-up in demand, a hike in prices of their product by manufacturers also supported the upside in select polymer prices.
