Total income from operations surged 147% to Rs 12,432 crore as against Rs 5,023 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2013.
"The company has posted the highest quarterly revenue this quarter and also the highest quarterly net profit, these numbers bear a testimony to the product and administrative strength of the company," said Rajesh Mehta, chairman.
The stock opened at Rs 172 and touched a high of Rs 182. At 10:40AM, over 530,000 shares were traded on both the stock exchanges.
