Reliance Industries, SBI, Adani Ports, HCL Tech hit 52-week highs

Reliance Industries (RIL), State Bank of India (SBI), Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and HCL Technologies from the Nifty 50 index  hit their respective 52-week highs on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday.

RIL moved higher by 4.5% to Rs 1,329 on NSE, surpassing its previous high of Rs 1,327 touched on March 7. Meanwhile, the company's telecom venture Reliance Jio (RJio)'s prime membership offer is set to expire today.

RJio would end its free services from April 2017, offering instead unlimited voice and data for Rs 303/month. The focus appears to be more on profitability now, with average revenue per user (ARPU)-accretive price plans.

SBI hit a fresh 52-week high of Rs 295 on reports that the Cabinet meeting today for resolution of non-performing assets (NPA) issues in public sector banks.

Meanwhile, total 51 stocks from the Nifty 500 index hit 52-week highs in intra-day trade today. The list includes Vedanta, Escorts, Exide Industries, JBF Industries, Reliance Capital, Finolex Industries and Finolex Cables.
