The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 447 points at 8,957, and is now up 494 points at 9,003.
Tata Motors and Hindalco have zoomed around 11% each to Rs 156 and Rs 45, respectively.
Reliance Infrastructure and Jaiprakash Associates have soared around 10% each to Rs 437 and Rs 59, respectively.
DLF has surged 9% to Rs 216. Mahindra & Mahindra, Grasim and Wipro have rallied over 8% each to Rs 269, Rs 1,031 and Rs 238, respectively.
TCS, Bharti Airtel and Tata Steel have gained nearly 8% each to Rs 536, Rs 611 and Rs 182, respectively.
Sterlite and Reliance Communications have moved up 6.7% each to Rs 230 and Rs 214, respectively.
All index stocks are in positive territory with minimum gains of 2% each.
