The Sensex after a breif recovery has slipped back to lower levels and is now down 208 points at 12,848.
Sterlite has slumped over 7% to Rs 398. Tata Steel has tumbled 4.7% to Rs 418.
Infosys and TCS have shed 3.7% each at Rs 1,399 and Rs 647, respectively.
Tata Motors, Reliance and Reliance Communications have dropped 3% each to Rs 329, Rs 1,849 and Rs 333, respectively.
Satyam has slipped 2.8% to Rs 310, and Grasim has declined 2.5% to Rs 1,723.
Maruti and Wipro are down around 2% each to Rs 683 and Rs 343, respectively.
