Sensex back in red; HDFC, TCS, Reliance weak

The Sensex continues to gyrate between zones is now down 80 points at 14,576.

The NSE Nifty is down 23 points at 4,391.

ACC, Satyam and Infosys have surged 2.5% each to Rs 401, Rs 590 and Rs 1,681, respectively.

Maruti and Reliance Infrastructure have rallied 2% each to Rs 571 and Rs 1,030, respectively.

Tata Power has gained 1.7% at Rs 1,136. Grasim and ICICI Bank have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 1,8364 and Rs 651, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates, SBI, Hindalco and Reliance Communications are up over 1% each at Rs 173, Rs 1,517, Rs 142 and Rs 441, respectively.

HDFC has shed 2% at Rs 2,353. TCS and Reliance have slipped 1.5% each to Rs 827 and Rs 2,267, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,383 stocks traded so far, 1,762 have advanced, 566 have declined and 55 are unchanged.
