Sensex down 334pts; DLF, Sterlite shed 6%

The Sensex continues to drift lower and is now down 334 points at 9,051.

ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank have plunged around 7% each to Rs 368 and Rs 944, respectively.

DLF and Sterlite have slumped around 6% each to Rs 226 and Rs 214, respectively.

HDFC, Jaiprakash Associates and Hindalco have shed 5% each to Rs 1,479, Rs 70 and Rs 54, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure has tumbled 4.7% to Rs 492. Satyam and Larsen & Toubro have slipped nearly 4% each to Rs 252 and Rs 762, respectively.

ACC and Reliance Communications have declined around 3.5% each to Rs 212 and Rs 404, respectively.

Ranbaxy, Infosys, Tata Steel, SBI, Tata Power and Reliance are down around 3% each.
