Sensex down marginally; NTPC, ONGC weigh

The Sensex from a low of 14,137, rebounded into the positive zone to a high of 14,298, but has slipped back into red and is now down 35 points at 14,209.

Hindalco has surged nearly 3% to Rs 133.

Sterlite has gained 2.5% at Rs 616. Reliance Communications has advanced 1.3% to Rs 403.

NTPC has plunged 2.5% to Rs 169. Maruti has tumbled over 2% to Rs 605.

ONGC and Grasim have shed 1.7% each at Rs 991 and Rs 1,933, respectively.

BHEL and Larsen & Toubro are down 1.5% each at Rs 1,644 and Rs 2,591, respectively.
