Sensex firm, Reliance Comm up 5%

The Sensex is exhibiting sideways movement since morning. The index is now at 15,847, up 158 points.
The NSE Nifty is now at 4731, up 51 points.

Reliance Communications, Jaiprakash Associates and Tata Motors have surged 4.5% each to Rs 306, Rs 227 and Rs 530, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has rallied 3.5% to Rs 419.

TCS has surged 2.5% to Rs 545. DLF and ICICI Bank have gained over 2% each to Rs 423 and Rs 759, respectively.

Sterlite, Wipro and Tata Steel have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 683, Rs 560 and Rs 436, respectively.

Among the Nifty stocks, BPCL and Jindal Steel have soared 5.5% to Rs 591 and 5% to Rs 3,442, respectively.

Unitech and Axis Bank have moved up 3.5% to Rs 110 and 2.5% to Rs 928, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely positive - out of 2,674 stocks, 2,089 have advanced and 523 have declined so far.
