Sensex flat in early trades

The Indian bourses opened on a flat note mirroring subdued global cues. The Sensex after touching a high of 17,544, is now flat at 17,503, up 13 points. The NSE Nifty is at 5,237, up five points.

Among the Sensex-30 stocks, Jaiprakash Associates and Bharti Airtel have added 1.5% each to Rs 150 and Rs 301, respectively.

Infosys, Maruti, Tata Power, Tata Motors and Reliance Infrastructure have added 0,5% each on the BSE.

NTPC on the other hand has slipped 1% to Rs 202. Wipro, TCS and Mahindra & Mahindra have declined 0.5% each to Rs 735, Rs 835 and Rs 1,119, respectively.
