Sensex flat; Realty index up 4%

The Sensex is now flat at 14,734, down 29 points.

ThE BSE Realty index has added 3.5% to 3,485. The IT index on the other hand has slipped around 2% to 3,312.

DLF has advanced 4% to Rs 339.

ONGC, Sterlite and Tata Steel have added over 2.5% each to Rs 1,069, Rs 627 and Rs 397, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates , Reliance Infrastructure and Mahindra & Mahindra are up over 1% each .

Tata Motors has slipped 4% to Rs 326.

Sun Pharma has dropped 3.5% to Rs 1,099.

Grasim and Infosys and HDFC have shed over 2.5% each to Rs 2,302, Rs 1,780 and Rs 2,379, respectively.

The market breadth is positive, out of 2,236 shares traded, 1,461 have advanced and 707 have declined so far on the BSE.
