The Sensex has moved up further beacuse of buying in realty and banking stocks. The index is now at 12,060, up 188 points.
Nifty has moved 1.5% to 3,645.
Realty and Bankex indices are up over 2.5% each at 2,416 and 6,297, respectively.
ICICI Bank has advanced 3.5% to Rs 555. Jaiprakash Associates and TCS have gained over 3% each to Rs 141 and Rs 640, respectively.
Sterlite, Tata Motors, Tata Power, Larsen & Toubro and HDFC have added over 2.5% each to Rs 462, Rs 267, Rs 908, Rs 972 and Rs 1,915, respectively.
The other gainers are Tata Steel, Reliance Communications, DLF, Bank of India and Grasim are over 2% each.
However, ONGC has dropped 1% to Rs 823.
The market breadth is very positive - out of 1,942 shares traded, 1,442 have advanced and 448 have declined so far at the BSE.
