Sensex moves sideways

The Sensex has been moving sideways and is now up 184 at 16,877. The Nifty is up 53 points at 5,012.

Sun Pharma has soared 8% to Rs 1,415. TCS has gained 4% at Rs 611.

ICICI Bank, Wipro, Infosys and Reliance have added 2-3% each. Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Steel and BHEL are up over 1% each.

SBI and Grasim have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 2,105 and Rs 2,793, respectively. Jaiprakash Associates has slipped 1% to Rs 234.

The market breadth continues to be positive. Out of 2,762 shares traded 1,751 have advanced while 931 have declined.
