The Sensex has recovered partially from its day's low owing to recovery in realty and IT shares. The Sensex is now at 17,894, down 35 points. The NSE Nifty is 14 points lower at 5,347.

The Sensex opened in the positive zone at 17,874 and has slipped into the red owing to selling in the metal, bankex and realty stocks. The index is now weak at 17,863, down 80 points. The NSE Nifty is at 5,334, down 27 points.
Among the list of 30-stocks, Sun Pharma has added 2.5% at Rs 1,814. Hindustan Unilever, Hindalco, Reliance Industries and Hero Honda have advanced 1% each to Rs 223, Rs 180, Rs 1,133 and Rs 2,074, respectively.
HDFC, Larsen & Toubro, Tata Motors and Sterlite have slipped 1.5% each to Rs 2,800, Rs 1,618, Rs 798 and Rs 877, respectively.
The market breadth is positive, out of 1,878 shares traded, 1,176 have advanced and 648 have declined so far on the BSE.
